Consistent shot making in tournament play requires a proper ingrained setup and swing. The key to accomplishing this is strong fundamentals, proper practice and practicing with a purpose. Our private lesson will focus on your swing. We start by checking proper grip, stance, posture, back-swing and follow-through. Once we have your swing properly sequenced we will move on to the short game, putting, chipping techniques and bunker shots. The time frame on getting your swing properly sequenced will depend on your aptitude, practice habits and overall fitness.
Playing Lessons....
In the playing lesson you will learn how to make shots from different situations. We will discuss LAW ( lie, area around you and wind). We will teach you how to read the golf course for proper shot placement. We discuss mental awareness and the toughness needed for tournament play.
Short Game (CPR) Program….
The full swing consists of less than 45% of the scoring in golf for almost all levels of players. However, when junior golfers practice, the full swing takes up most of the practice time. Our CPR (chipping, pitching/putting and recovery) program puts emphasis on the short game. This program’s focus is to teach proper short game techniques and proper practice habits. Getting up and down only 50% of the time will save 6 strokes per round. The serious golfer knows the importance of chipping, putting and pitch shots and our junior golf athletes are no exception.
Bio Golf….
Biomechanics is the sport science field that applies the laws of mechanics and physics to human performance. It is the science concerned with internal and external forces on the human body and the effects produced by these forces. At the highest level of any sport in which techniques play a major role, improvement comes so often from careful attention to detail. These subtle details cannot be left to chance or guesswork.
Bio Golf analyzes these subtle details in the golf swing. Teaching the student how the body moves throughout the golf swing. There are natural motions (positions in your swing) that need to be consistent with your body, from your address to your finish. Learning how your body moves during each of these phases will enable you to diagnose and trouble shoot your own swing during practice and tournament play. It is our philosophy that there is an optimal swing for every golfer and that there should be a variety in how each student is taught because of each student’s unique biology. Harmonizing the optimal swing mechanics for each student’s individual biomechanics will enable a consistent, repeatable and natural golf swing.
Tournament Analysis....
Our tournament analysis consists of just that. We will walk with you for 9 holes during one of your tournaments charting your shots and taking notes. A summary of your play will be analyzed and we adapt lessons according to play during the tournament.
Fitness....
This is a golf fitness evaluation. You are evaluated for core strengths and weaknesses. We will recommend stretching and fitness techniques to build weak core muscles to promote proper swing fundamentals. We will also discuss mental fitness with goal setting and confidence building. This is accomplished by proper practice techniques, pre shot routines, pre tournament routines and staying in the moment during tournament play to name a few.
